Garbage truck catches fire at petrol station

In the incident which took place at about 11.10am, the truck was 60% destroyed.

Operation officer from the Seremban fire and rescue department K Puttisigamani said a worker from the petrol station contacted the fire department.

"The front part or head of the garbage truck was 100% destroyed, and part of the body was damaged," he said when contacted.

He added that seven firemen took about half an hour to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, he said the cause of the fire was being investigated.

"We do not know what caused the fire for now," he added.

No one was injured in the incident. – March 11, 2016.
