Ford has had to recall vehicles for faulty fuel delivery module in the US. – AFP/RelaxNews file pic, December 30, 2015.Following two separate concerns, Ford has had to issue recalls for 9,900 cars across the United States, reports Autoblog.
The largest recall is that of the 2013 Escape with build dates from January 11, 2012, to April 1, 2013, and the 2013-2014 Focus ST produced between May 3, 2012, and October 14, 2013. 9017 cars are being recalled for repairs on a wiring defect, which will be carried out from January 4 onwards.
The second recall involves 868 vehicles: the 2013 Explorer, Explorer Police Utility, Taurus, Taurus Police Interceptor, Flex, Lincoln MKS, and MKT. The issue in this case is a potentially faulty fuel delivery module, which can lead to leaks.
