Volvo's new full-size estate car will be unveiled at a special event in Stockholm on February 18.
The Swedish brand has been building huge, roomy, practical family cars for more than 60 years and in doing so is one of the architects of the contemporary estate car segment.
"We have provenance in the estate segment," said Hakan Samuelsson, chief executive at Volvo Cars.
“In many people’s minds we are known as the definitive estate brand. While the Volvo brand stands for much more than just estates, we will proudly carry forward this rich heritage with the V90.”
The new car will be built on the same scalable platform that has given birth to its full-size luxury SUV, the XC90 and its BMW 5 Series-baiting S90 sedan.
That means the car will boast the same hi-tech safety, entertainment and powertrain systems and will share Volvo's new clear, considered and confident exterior design language. – AFP/Relaxnews, February 10, 2016.
