The rebranding of the National Civics Bureau (BTN) will see the people from all walks of life become agents of change to create the concept of a nation state, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
She said the target groups also comprised Village Security and Development Committees, neighbourhood watch groups, teachers and local authorities.
"This is because these groups are also the agents of change in creating the concept of nation state," she told Bernama Radio 24 yesterday.
In January, Azalina was reported as saying that BTN needed to undergo a rebranding process to ensure its content would remain relevant to the target groups especially the younger generation.
Azalina said BTN's approach was not only to focus on talks and seminars but would also use more relaxed and creative methods in line with current developments.
"This includes the use of social media, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to promote unity and love for the country," she added. – Bernama, March 9, 2016.
