"We can see that as chief minister, Tan Sri Adenan Satem has gone all out to develop Sarawak and he is my comrade-in-arms whom I can depend on to ensure Sarawak's future in Malaysia," he said.

Najib said this at a gathering of leaders with the people of Kampung Suba Buan in Bau about 43 kilometres from Kuching today.

The prime minister urged the people of Sarawak to give Barisan Nasional (BN) an overwhelming victory in the coming state election, giving Adenan a big mandate to continue leading the Sarawak state government.

"We should not listen to the instigations by the opposition because they like to play the politics of hatred.

“They plant the seeds of hatred for the government, and this does not do any good to the people, as opposed to Barisan Nasional which solves the problems of the people.

“Our (BN) politics is to bring progress to Sarawak, to make it more successful, happy and prosperous," he said.

He added that BN was capable of fulfilling its promises to improve the future of the people of Sarawak.

Towards that aim, he said, he was visiting all corners of Sarawak and his visits showed the government was very serious and concerned about the people in the state, regardless of race.

"We do not come here just during the elections, but we come here all the time and the chief minister has told me that I have visited Sarawak 47 times since becoming PM, which is more often than someone who was prime minister for 22 years," he said.

At the same event, Najib also approved an allocation for a new building for  Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Suba Buan at a new site as the present premises is at the mercy of floods.

He said the new site would be identified soon and when completed, it could accommodate pupils from three villages, Kampung Suba Buan, Kampung Suba Baud and Kampung Suba Bandar.

He said the present premises were almost 50 years old.

Najib also approved the construction of a concrete bridge to Kampung Suba Buan. – Bernama, March 13, 2016.
