Support for the leadership and reforms brought by Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem can come in many forms.
Policy reforms and development introduced by Adenan inspired the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) to introduce five ang pow envelope designs, each carrying a message on what he has done since leading Sarawak from February 2014.
SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said the policies introduced by Adenan should be publicised and this time the party took the initiative by displaying them on the red packet envelopes.
"The five designs on the cover of the red envelopes carry a different theme. The five themes are 'English Official Language for Sarawak'; 'Peace and Harmony Society'; 'Fighting for Sarawak's Rights under Malaysia Agreement 1963'; 'Combat Illegal Logging' and UEC Recognition and Annual Financial Allocations for Independent Schools," he told Bernama.
Adenan, wearing a blue shirt, is also featured on three of the five ang pow envelopes designed.
On the back of each envelope is written "Sarawakians Support CM (SSCM)".
"Apart from being distributed free, the envelopes are also being sold," said Dr Sim. – Bernama, February 8, 2016.
