Pakatan Harapan will hold an anti-GST rally on April 2, the first anniversary of the implementation of the goods and services tax, its secretariat chief Datuk Saifuddin Abdulllah said.
He said it has been Pakatan Harapan's position to reject GST, as mentioned in its alternative budget.
"April 1 is one year since GST was implemented, Pakatan Harapan will organise an anti-GST gathering on April 2 at a venue in Kuala Lumpur that will be announced later," he said at a press conference at PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.
"(But) the main thing is that this coming Monday, presidential council will hold a meeting and give details on the next course of action," he said.
Saifuddin said the coalition's presidential council meeting to be held in Parliament next week would among others discuss Datuk Seri Najib Razak's position, the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue and the RM2.6 billion "donation".
"We can't just always be talking about these issues only, So what's next? The 'what's next' will be announced on Monday (after the meting)," he said.
Asked if PAS would be invited to the April 2 gathering, Saifuddin said: "It is open to all." – March 3, 2016.
