The wing's information chief Haidhar Auni Dzolkapli said the PKR central leadership should intervene to preserve unity in the opposition pact Pakatan Harapan that PKR and DAP are a part of.

"We should remember that our enemy is Umno and Barisan Nasional, and we should avoid fighting among ourselves.

"It is better to focus on people problems than to play politics," he said in a statement today.

Haidhar said the wing also agreed with its PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, who had also expressed the party's unhappiness over the matter. Azmin is also Selangor menteri besar.

"What Lim did reflected an immature attitude in his administration. He should have respected the Pakatan Harapan common agreement signed by PKR, DAP and Parti Amanah Negara.

"His action to drop the two PKR assemblymen from their director posts shows that his leadership is unfair and autocratic.

"Azmin was right to censure Lim. Pakatan Harapan should celebrate diversity of views," he said.

The two – Kebun Bunga rep Cheah Kah Peng and Bukit Tengah rep Ong Chin Wen – were removed from the Penang Hill Corporation; and Island Golf Properties Bhd, respectively. Island Golf is a subsidiary of state investment arm Penang Development Corporation.

Lim, who is also DAP secretary-general, is chairman of the agencies.

Cheah and Ong were among five PKR assemblymen who abstained from voting against a Barisan Nasional motion on land reclamation during the state legislative assembly last November.

Lim had defended the removal of the duo, saying that reps must tow the line when a consensus had been reached.

He said it was backstabbing when people agreed with a decision reached in a meeting but went back on their word outside.

Lim earlier today reminded that party reps should toe the line in the state government's decisions. – February 22, 2016.
