He was respond to Selangor Amanah Youth chief Abbas Azmi’s proposal that the party be given seats on local councils as it has two assemblymen and three MPs in Selangor.

“We’re in the midst of negotiations… because the present local councillors’ term will only be up at the end of this year.

“The state government is definitely looking into this, as there are two Amanah representatives in Selangor,” he said, referring to Hulu Kelang assemblyman Saari Sungib and Morib assemblyman Hasnul Baharuddin.

The state leaders will make the final decision on the matter.

“I leave it to the state government leadership to negotiate this and I am confident it can be resolved amicably.

“We knew that when Amanah was formed, it would be a part of the Selangor government. That means we knew we would have to look at the seat allocation for local councils,” he said after the launch of PKR’s voluntary programme, Invoke, in Petaling Jaya yesterday. – November 17, 2015.
