Lembaga Tabung Haji has not announce its dividend because it has not received approval of the auditor-general (A-G), said Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.
The minister in the Prime Minister's Department said Tabung Haji would announce the payment of dividend once the approval was given.
"Let the A-G make a decision first," he said at Seri Perdana in Putrajaya today.
Tabung Haji became a topic of discussion on the social media relating to the payment of dividend to depositors and Bank Negara Malaysia's note on reserves.
Jamil Khir said Tabung Haji did not need a large reserve because it was unlike banks, which provided financial loans.
"Tabung Haji does not come under Bank Negara but BNM still monitor its cash flow and give out reminders."
Group managing director and chief executive officer Tan Sri Ismee Ismail said Tabung Haji would announce the bonus in early next month after going through internal and interim auditing. – Bernama, January 27, 2016.
