Child star of ‘Mrs Doubtfire’, ‘Matilda’ strikes memoir deal

Like Lena Dunham of “Girls” and Danielle Fishel of “Boy Meets World”, Wilson is in position to talk about what it has meant to be a woman – in this case, a young girl – in the entertainment spotlight.
For Wilson, that meant going from “Mrs Doubtfire” to “Melrose Place”, “Miracle on 34th Street” to “Matilda”; from being a New Yorker in California to being a Californian in New York; being “the only child on a film set full of adults” and “the first daughter in a house full of boys”, according to a publisher's note.

Because she's pretty awesome," wrote sci-fi author John Scalzi on Twitter in response to the news, while young adult fiction writer John Green (also at "(K) for Kid" house Penguin) was among those to give the project a public seal of approval. – AFP/Relaxnews, October 17, 2014.
