Google Play Books gets comic book update
Comic fans can now enjoy a tailored reading mode on their device as well as free comic issues on Google Play Books.
On November 12, the Android team announced an update to Google Play Books: a comic book mode.
Documents can now be read in landscape mode, and panels can be viewed like pages, as opposed to zooming in: "Flip your device on its side and you can easily scroll through the story with quick vertical swipes."
The Play Store for comics has also been updated, with a selection of free popular titles, including "The X-Files", "Lazarus" and "Jem and the Holograms".
The update will roll out over the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, India, Singapore, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa over the next few days, followed by an iOS equivalent feature. – AFP/Relaxnews, November 14, 2015.
