YouTube hit Smosh launching comic books
The comedy brand Smosh, created by Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, has signed a deal to create comic books and graphic novels that will launch later this year.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the deal with Dynamite Entertainment will see Padilla and Hecox involved heavily in the creative process, with plans to develop new and existing characters and storylines.
The first releases are expected by the holiday season in comic book stores and for digital download.
Smosh launched as a YouTube channel in 2005 and now has more than 30 million subscribers across multiple YouTube channels. – AFP, May 20, 2015.
