Ringgit opens lower against US dollar
The ringgit trades lower against all major currencies. – Reuters file pic, March 8, 2016.The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar on profit-taking activities.
At 9.12am, the local unit was quoted at 4.0980/1020 per US dollar versus 4.0950/0000 at 5pm yesterday.
The ringgit was also traded lower against other currencies.
It declined against the Singapore dollar to 2.9672/9705 from 2.9597/9644 yesterday and fell against the euro to 4.5139/5200 from 4.4824/4895.
It also depreciated against the British pound to 5.8413/8495 from yesterday’s 5.7932/7011 and decreased against the yen to 3.6243/6294 from 3.6044/6101. – Bernama, March 8, 2016.
