Electric car popularity speeds up in Britain
The electric car revolution is speeding up in Britain, with four of the top 10 cars in the 2015 Auto Express Driver Power survey being electric or hybrid.
The third-generation Lexus IS 300h came out on top with a satisfaction score of nearly 94%, out of a total of more than 61,000 responses. Its NX 300h also scored sixth overall.
Renault's Zoe all-electric car was deemed the best electric car, coming in at fifth place.
This year's survey is the first time all-electric cars have wound up in the Driver Power top 10, and the first time that a hybrid raced to first place.
The 2015 survey was its biggest yet and strives to find out how drivers rate their cars, in categories such as reliability, running costs, practicality and in-car tech.
