Nissan 370Z Nismo gets a facelift
Nissan announced that the 2015 edition of its 370Z Nismo coupe will launch in Europe from September. Already on sale in North America, the new sports car has the same 344hp engine as the outgoing version but introduces a restyled exterior and several new features.
The new 370Z Nismo, the sportiest member of the Nissan Z family, has a redesigned front bumper which stands out namely for its larger air intake and new LED daytime running lights. The model also has new 19-inch wheels and, at the rear, a spoiler that has been redesigned to create greater downforce at high speeds. On the interior, new Recaro seats add an extra touch of sporty style.
Powered by a six-cylinder 3.7-litre engine with 344hp, the 370Z Nismo is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 5.2 seconds. The model is available exclusively as a coupe and is offered with an optional seven-speed automatic gearbox in North America, while in Europe it will be sold only with a six-speed manual transmission.
Like the Nismo, the other models in the Nissan 370Z line have also been updated with new wheels (18-inch) and new seats. The manufacturer is also touting reduced cabin noise.
The 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo was unveiled in May 2014 in an exclusive premiere at ZDayZ, the annual gathering of Nissan and Datsun sports car fans in the US.
Further details on the model's European launch and pricing are expected to be revealed soon. In the US, the model is priced starting at US$41,990 (RM132,688). – AFP/Relaxnews, August 27, 2014.
