Nissan Leaf: now with 25% more range
The Leaf 30kWh will be capable of covering up to 250km on a single charge when it goes on sale at the end of the year.
The huge improvement in distance is thanks to a much better battery that offers more energy but without taking up any more space. All of which means that the Leaf has managed to move back up to the top of the range charts in the compact electric car market.
"An up-to 250km range opens the world of EV to thousands of drivers across Europe who before just weren't completely confident that an EV would work for them. This extra range will make Leaf ownership an easy first choice, for many, many more drivers," said Paul Willcox, chairman, Nissan Europe. – AFP/Relaxnews, September 11, 2015.
