Peugeot launches restyled 508
The new Peugeot 508 range is priced from €24,750 (around RM102,189) in France. – AFP/Relaxnews pic, September 10, 2014.Today, a few weeks ahead of the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot launches the latest iteration of its family car, complete with a fresh new design. In France, the 508 Access sedan is priced from €24,750 (RM102,189) and the station wagon at €25,950.
Seen from the front, the new 508 presents all the hallmarks of the brand's latest visual identity, starting with the new grille emblazoned with the Peugeot Lion emblem at its centre, full LED lights and a more horizontal hood.
On the inside, the dashboard now includes a 7-inch touch screen that offers easy access to most of the vehicle's features, allowing for an uncluttered central console. The driver can also take advantage of the head-up display to view information on the vehicle.
In terms of driving assistance technologies, the Peugeot 508 offers keyless entry and remote start, automatic electric parking brake, main beam assistance, four-zone automatic AC, blind spot monitoring and a back-up camera connected to the touchscreen.
The new 508 also comes with the Peugeot Connect Apps suite, a set of services aimed at improving the on-board experience for passengers and drivers thanks to up-to-date practical info on weather, traffic, available parking, fuel prices, etc.
Under the hood, the latest version of the 508 introduces a new fuel engine, the 1.6L THP with 165hp, which brings CO2 emissions down to around 15g/km. The available diesel engines now include the BlueHDi technology, and the HYbrid4 technology is available on the sedan and the 508 RXH.
