Indomie goreng

Some may frown at the fact that instant noodles made it on to a food guide, but all that can and should be said is, “Belum cuba belum tahu”.

At Mosin, Indomie (RM5) is cooked with generous amounts of seasoning, sauces, and fried shallots, turning this snack into a meal. Add on telur mata (50 sen), break the yolk in the middle, then mix.

Next on our list was the claypot loh shu fun at Restoran Moon Corner (RM5.50). With a generous helping of minced pork, pork balls, and fish cake, this dish proved to be both hearty and tasty all at once. What set this dish apart was definitely the minced pork, seasoned so well that you would even enjoy it on its own!

Roti canai ayam goreng

The rustic vibe awakened a sense of nostalgia as we tucked into this glorious partnership of roti canai (RM1) and ayam goreng (RM3).

The always crispy roti (RM1) coupled with freshly fried chicken (RM 3) melded well the sambal, dhal, and curry, giving a more sinful twist to a classic Malaysian breakfast.

French toast

Personally, this was one of the best French toast (RM12) we’ve had in a long time. Quartet’s toast had a richer taste to it, thanks to the brioche used in the mix, giving a much creamier bite to the bread.

Served with a handful of berries and dusted generously with sugar, this dish gave us nothing short of a decadent plate of guilt-ridden indulgence.
