MezzaNine Cafe offers a very happy late start to the day from 11am to 3pm, with a big breakfast (RM25,) be careful heading there during peak hours, you might want to make a quick reservation.

Apart from sautéed mushrooms, roast potatoes, scrambled eggs, your choice of chicken or pork sausage, and a slice of toasted homemade bread, the special feature of this platter is the stuffed tomato.

Made with finely diced mushrooms, tomatoes, and breadcrumbs seasoned with herbs, it’s a perfect addition to the plate. For a complete meal, you can even add on a coffee or fresh juice for just RM5.

The star of pH Pastry House’s Breakfast Platter is their special in-house baked charcoal bread. This comes topped with creamy scrambled eggs, a side of baked beans, sautéed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, a hash brown, slices of beef bacon, and a chicken sausage so you’ll get all the protein you need.

Drop by for a big Western breakfast (RM15.90 ) at A Toast in Pudu – what’s unique about this platter is the thick slice of charcoal toast that they serve with a deep-fried hash brown, some scrambled eggs, a ham slice, cheesy sausage, and a small salad. Eat each one individually or heave them on the toast for a bite full of textures and flavours.

Petaling Street's Merchant’s Lane has blown up all over KL’s foodieverse for its rustic, vintage setting – the site of plenty of Instagram-worthy photos.

Their Western breakfast platter (RM24, previously Eat Die Me) comes with four chicken sausages, a slice of toast, two eggs sunny side up seasoned with paprika, a hash brown, sautéed mushrooms, baked beans, and cherry tomatoes.

The big breakfast (RM20) at Square Q in Solaris Mont Kiara is an affordable yet satisfying meal that's served all day, so you can have it at any time. We found the choices quite healthy, with a light, tart yoghurt and sweet orange slices.

The chicken sausage and beef bacon were tasty (not too greasy), while the baked beans, salad, and bread created a good balance of flavours. While you’re in here, you might also want to check out the infamous “not-a-waffle”.

You can also get an all-day big breakfast (RM25) at Stage Cafe, featuring toasted slices of their homemade dark rye bread.

The plate also comes with two chicken bratwurst sausages, beef bacon or turkey ham, grilled tomatoes and a Portobello mushroom, homemade baked beans, homemade potato patties, and two eggs (poached, sunny side up, or scrambled) to your liking.

You can really taste this difference in their homemade baked beans – this is definitely the place to go if you don’t want a fry-up that’s too greasy,

J&D Espresso Cafe @ Bandar Utama

Get an Aussie Big Breakfast (RM19) at J&D Espresso complete with two eggs done whichever way you like, a crunchy hash brown, some baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, pork sausage, and bacon strips.

They do great justice to the Australian big breakfast culture, so you don’t have to go Down Under for your fix.
