Maybe a place to accommodate a workaholic’s wee hours of the AM? A café that may give you a glimpse of its celebrity owners maybe? Or are you really just going for the Instagram-lauded coffee and food? Either way, HungryGoWhere has cafés steeped in Subang’s coffee culture, and they are not stingy about their WiFi password.

A project of love by the infamous Jane Chuck & Daphne, this SS15 café’s concept follows its namesake, Project Space, giving everyone space to be themselves.

Free WI-Fi is meaningless in a hot, noisy area. So, enjoy it here with the cafe’s crisp white and cool interior.

There is ample seating, with window sun-benches and small café tables for workstation set-ups. Music is always played, so headphones are recommended if you want to stream your own Spotify playlist.

If you get lucky, you might even catch a live performance by Daphne. The other co-founder, Jane is also internet-famous as a DJ. They jump in as baristas sometime, but do not be rude, and ask for permission before you snap a selfie with these beautiful ladies.

The coffee menu is minimalistic, but the café also offers a unique selection of decaf and juices. For example, the Fresh Red, a delicious concoction of Redespresso & Apple Juice or the local This Juice Co. line, known for it’s healthy, sugar-free cold-press juices that appeal to juice-bar or detox enthusiasts. If you get peckish while working though, try out their pastries such as their hazelnut covered Tiramisu and just maybe, Ken’s Food Truck also be there with their ever-changing menu.

The WiFi password changes pretty frequently, but the staff is more than happy to share it with you.

If you are sick of dainty café pastries, and like breakfast, or large meals in general to boot, then have we got an Internet-friendly café for you, AMPM Café is their name and large portions are their game.

Breakfast is served all day here, including the big, bad Big Breakfast (RM19.90) which comes with eggs to order, lashings of beef bacon, sweet potatoes, chicken sausage, wild mushrooms, tomatoes, refried beans and toast.

March 2015 had this café revamping its menu, with them rolling out amazing meals such as the two versions of the Triple Threat pancakes, served only after noon for your own safety. A dessert version with fluffy pancakes, beef bacon, salted egg sauce and ice cream. While the savoury version glistens with deep-fried chicken skin, homemade chicken floss and salted egg sauce. If you like creative waffles, then Chequers Waffles might catch your fancy.

The decadent choices and portions here ensure that you will never run out of fuel while working or studying while on WiFi, and the multiple electrical outlets here also help recharge your devices when they run out of juice. Just in case you were looking for it, AMPM’s Wi-Fi password is: AMPMUSJ21

There's nothing like the baked eggs at the Good Friends Cafe. – Pic courtesy of HungryGoWhere, September 17, 2015. There's nothing like the baked eggs at the Good Friends Cafe. – Pic courtesy of HungryGoWhere, September 17, 2015. Good Friends Café

With healthy Chinese-Western fusion food and coffee, for brunch and dinner, Good Friends Café differs from other offerings by being very family-oriented. The chef provides a menu of comfort foods, including the popular soups and pastas. One popular brunch dish however is the baked eggs (RM16) which is a hearty, cheesy mix of eggs, vegetables and sausage.

The team of best friends who own the joint often find ways to host interesting events for their customers such as tea pairings, open mic and live Chinese music concerts.

For the kids, there are crayons and paper to distract their hungry mischief, every now and then, one masterpiece might make it to a place of honour on the wall. There is even a foosball table inside, and PopWagon, a colourful, fun popsicle vendor on-site. Which remind us, we’ll need to add to our list of family-friendly restaurants in Bangsar soon as well.

They are also known for their selection of desserts, which is another collaboration with an external bakery, My Sweet Treets, formerly known as Sweettreets by Coleen who provides a variety of tempting desserts!

WiFi password is a simple 56131415 though we recommend families keep their phones away during meals and enjoy the warm atmosphere of this eatery.
