Fishermen of Teluk Kumbar
22 Apr 2015 — A community area in Teluk Kumbar, Penang, known as Kampung Nelayan, is home to hundreds of families. Located on the shore facing the Strait of Malacca, the villagers have a strong symbiotic relationship with the sea on which their livelihoods have depended for generations. Despite a depleting fish stock due to overfishing, they leave their homes and risk their lives at sea every day to put fish on our plates.
