Homeless – but not heartless – in Kuala Lumpur
05 Jul 2014 — Tough life in the city has forced many to live on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. While the elderly find it hard to land a job to feed themselves, those with jobs but paltry wages find it difficult to keep a roof over their heads, and depend on the kind-hearted groups which feed them regularly. Adding to their predicament is the announcement by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor, that soup kitchens in Kuala Lumpur have to move out of the city centre.
