Memories from MH17
20 Jul 2014 — Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, carrying 298 passengers and crew, was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, when it was shot down over the restive region of eastern Ukraine. 43 passengers, including the 15 crew and two infants, were Malaysians. These photographs remember their lives before their untimely deaths which shocked the world.
Tambi Jiee, 49, from Kampung Gobielt in Kuching, Sarawak, was with his wife Ariza Ghazalee, 47, and four children, Mohd Afif, 19, Mohd Afzal, 17, Marsha Azmeena, 15, and Mohd Afruz, 13, while on the way back from Kazakhstan via Amsterdam. They were returning home for good from Kazakhstan.
