Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said this would be the final discussion held with the Saudi government on the matter.

"We are aware that it had taken some time as the Saudi government needs to look into all aspects as the tragedy also involved pilgrims from many other countries," he told reporters today.

Seven Malaysian pilgrims were killed in the crane tragedy and the custodian of the two holy mosques King Salman was reported to have ordered payment of SR1 million (RM1.14 million) to be paid to each victim's family; SR1 million to those with permanent disability; and SR500K for each of the injured. – Bernama, March 11, 2016.
