Move to ‘topple’ me prompted by certain quarters, says Terengganu MB
Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said he believed the action of his predecessor and Kijal assemblyman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, who tabled a motion for a vote of no confidence against him was done at the prompting of certain quarters.
“I was alerted to be cautious as there will be outside movements wanting to topple me.
“I received the information from Kuala Lumpur,” said Ahmad Razif when speaking at a special meeting of Barisan Nasional (BN), Umno Veterans Club and the Terengganu Malaysian Council of Former Elected Representatives in Kuala Terengganu yesterday.
The Terengganu legislative assembly yesterday, which became chaotic on Tuesday following the proposal of a vote of no confidence, was, however, smooth.
Ahmad Said did not turn up at the assembly's sitting yesterday.
Ahmad Razif, in his speech, said his agenda now was to ensure Terengganu BN remained strong and created as much success as possible to ensure the coalition won big in the 14th general election. – Bernama, March 10, 2016.
