Kayveas says the Citizens' Declaration is unacceptable. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, March 12, 2016.The Supreme Council meeting of the People's Progressive Party (myPPP) tomorrow will focus on consensus to oppose the Citizens' Declaration.

Its president Tan Sri M. Kayveas said the meeting would make a stand against former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for having joined opposition party leaders to come up with a declaration to oust Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Kayveas described the declaration as outrageous, especially as it involved a former government leader who collaborated with opposition leaders to topple the elected prime minister.

"MyPPP does not accept this... the declaration does not bring any benefit to the country," he said after handing over food hampers to 100 blind individuals at the Malaysian Association for the Blind Complex today.

Commenting on the termination of Dr Mahathir's appointment as Petronas adviser, Kayveas said the former prime minister should have resigned voluntarily since he no longer supported the government. – Bernama, March 12, 2016.
