Fifty Shades, Jupiter Ascending, Paul Blart 2, Pixels lead Razzie nominations

Four films emerge from the Razzie Awards nominations with six nods apiece, while Elizabeth Banks, M. Night Shyamalan, Sly Stallone and Will Smith were praised.

Novel adaptation "Fifty Shades of Grey," space drama "Jupiter Ascending," and slapstick comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2," and alien invasion lark "Pixels" all contend the Worst Picture category, together with superhero movie "Fantastic Four," which collected five nominations in a total of nine available categories.

But the Razzie Awards aren't all contempt and disdain, the Razzies Redeemer Award exists for those who turned in a surprisingly good film.

Elizabeth Banks directed "Pitch Perfect 2," Will Smith starred in "Concussion," M. Night Shyamalan steered "The Visit," and Sylvester Stallone – responsible for 10 of the quartet's 19 collective Golden Raspberries – was a Golden Globe-winning revelation in "Creed."

The Razzie Awards ceremony will take place February 27, with the Oscars set for February 28. –AFP/Relaxnews, January 14, 2016.
