New ‘X-Files’ releases first minute
The first minute's worth of a new batch of "X-Files" episodes has been made available, ahead of a two-night premiere on January 24 and 25.
Hosted by the show's official website, doyoustillbelieve.com, the new miniseries' opening scene lets viewers know what to expect.
FBI special agents Mulder and Scully return, as do the strange and sometimes grotesque happenings that they investigate, while Mulder (David Duchovny) reminds us that the childhood disappearance of his missing sister has kept him wading through conspiracy theories and unexplained phenomena for all this time.
"In 2002, in a change of direction and policy, the FBI closed The X-Files and our investigation ceased," says Mulder, "but my personal obsession did not."
"The X-Files" was first broadcast from 1993 to 2002, with Gillian Anderson opposite David Duchovny, and two movies followed the original nine-season run.
The six episodes of its 2016 mini-series return are to start with a first episode broadcast on Fox on January 24, the second the following day, and the remainder on a weekly basis from February 1 onwards. – AFP/Relaxnews, January 12, 2016.
