‘The Revenant’ tops worldwide box office
Leonardo DiCaprio's "The Revenant" swept the international box office following its Golden Globe win and Oscar buzz over the weekend.
The film took in US$49.8 million (RM211 million) worldwide, with another quarter billion threshold in its sights at the international box office in the coming week, reports real-time box office reporter Rentrak.
Here are the top 12 worldwide weekend box office estimates as of yesterday;

2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Disney – US$37.6 million
3. 5th Wave, The – Sony – US$26.6 million
4. Ride Along 2 – Universal – US$19.5 million
5. Big Short, The – Paramount Pictures – US$13.6 million
6. Dirty Grandpa – Multiple – US$13.5 million
7. Boy, The – Multiple – US$12 million
8. Daddy's Home – Paramount Pictures – US$11.2 million
9. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi – Paramount Pictures – US$9.8 million
10. Creed – Warner Bros. – US$9.5 million
11. Hateful Eight, The – Multiple – US$8.9 million
