A disconnected Malaysia – TK Chua

Looking at Malaysia’s plight;

There are no solutions in sight;

National leaders talking baloney trying to turn the tide;

But it will only prolong Malaysia’s fallen pride.

Foreign workers are everywhere;

Leading our country to nowhere;

Falling ringgit finds no rest;

GST and cost of living continue to snare.

Sarawak Report gave some insight;

WSJ joined the fight;

Time now joined the fray;

Economist too has not spared.

The opposition is in disarray;

Government institutions have no say;

Malfeasance has a field day;

It is really a shame to leave it to Dr Mahathir.

Loyalty to leaders is now absolute;

Right and wrong are no issue;

Fundamental principles are ridiculed;

All for the sake of someone’s misplaced resolute.

It is long past crying for Malaysia;

It is time to get out of the quagmire;

Many hope that the declaration will rekindle;

But many too are not sure.

Very few newly independent states have achieved much;

For a while Malaysia was on its vision march;

Alas, the march was just a farce;

It is time to keep Malaysia from becoming a Third World fart. – March 5, 2016.
