Chong Wei who would be heading the Thomas Cup squad hopes BAM would send a strong squad to improve the country's chances of doing well in the prestigious tournament.

"BAM has not announced the list of players for the Thomas Cup finals but I hope it will be a strong squad because this will most probably be my last appearance in the competition," he told reporters when met at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara, in Kuala Lumpur today.

Chong Wei also hopes professional players like Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong would be able to put up credible performances consistently to impress the selectors so that they can be included in the squad.

"I feel the BAM will give Kien Keat-Boon Heong a chance, provided they show that they are deserving players to be included," he said.
