Goh/Tan beat seniors to reach All-England semis

National badminton men's doubles pair Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong outdid their seniors Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong to reach the All England semi-finals.

They will be playing  sixth seeded Hiroyuki Endo-Kenichi Hayakawa from Japan who staved off a challenge from third seeded China's Fu Haifeng-Zhang Nan, 21-19 and 21-12, next.

V Shem and Wee Kiong who are 16th in the world rankings took 49 minutes to edge Kien Keat-Boon Heong in straight sets, 21-19; 22-20 at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham.,

The Kien Keat-Boon Heong pair took the men's doubles title in 2007 and was runner-up in 2011. – Bernama, March 12, 2016.
