Kuala Lumpur top table despite draw with UiTM

Kuala Lumpur continue to lead the Premier League table despite a 1-1 draw with UiTM FC at UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam yesterday.

The results saw The Hawks keep their unbeaten record after five matches, topping the table with 11 points.

Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin brought cheer to the city boys when he put Kuala Lumpur ahead with a goal in the 31st minute.

The goal did not dampen UiTM who fought back and were rewarded with the equaliser in the 67th minute via foreign striker Pavel Purishkin of Uzbekistan.

In another match, Kuantan FA beat DRB-Hicom 1-0 at Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan, via a goal scored by Abdul Malik Mat Arif in the 42nd minute.

Negri Sembilan were the big winners beating Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM)  5-0 in a match at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi, Seremban.

The five goals were scored by Alex Smith (51'), Joel Chianese (59,'71'), Mohd Norhafizzuan Jailani (80') and an own goal by Muhd Aifaa Mat Baliyya (80').

PKNS FC beat Perlis 3-2 in a match at Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka.

The PKNS goals were scored by Gabriel Guerra (19,',33') and Matias Nicholas (55') while Perlis replied via Kayne Vincent (61') and Edward Junior Wilson (85').

The other matches saw Johor Darul Ta'zim II beat Sime Darby FC 2-1 while Sabah drew 2-2 with Melaka United.

The Malaysian League will make way for the Malaysia-Saudi Arabia 2018 World
