Pahang FA rid of head coach, assistant coming Monday
The Pahang Football Association has accepted Pahang head coach Ahmad Shaharuddin Rosdi and his assistant Azaruddin Aziz's decision to resign from their respective posts effective next Monday.
Pahang FA vice-president III Datuk Seri Zamri Ramly said the FA's executive committee which met today had decided to accept the resignation of the head coach and his assistant, effective Monday.
"They have decided to resign after accepting responsibility for the poor results and performance of the Pahang team which plays in the Super League.
"Their resignation takes effect on Monday and both will still be in charge for the match against Felda United FC on Saturday at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Jengka," he said.
Shaharuddin, 40, was appointed head coach after serving six years under former head coach Zainal Abidin Hassan who decided to join Selangor this season.
As for their replacement, Zamri said the management was in the process of looking into the profile of a number of local and foreign coaches.
Meanwhile, the Pahang Football Association will take over the role of managing the team from Pahang FC Sdn Bhd which was earlier tasked to handle the team.
He added that Pahang FC Sdn Bhd will remain the marketing arm for the FA. – Bernama, March 10, 2016.
