Short passes work wonders for Kelantan

The short passes adopted during training sessions helped Kelantan to beat Penang in a Super League match last night.

Head coach K Devan said the Kelantan players showed commitment and were hungry for a win in the match played at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.

"The short passes led to some improvement in play as oppposed to the long passes which wasted many goal scoring chances," he told reporters.

Kelantan beat Penang 3-1 to collect three points last night.

Meanwhile, Penang head coach Jacksen Ferreira Tiago said the loss would not stop his team from striving to improve their position in the Super League.

He pledged to overcome the weaknesses so that Penang would climb up the Super League table.

Kelantan are fifth in the table while Penang are seventh. – Bernama, March 13, 2016.
