Apple gives iMac a family makeover

The Retina displays promise to make photos and videos more immersive and true-to-life thanks to a wider colour gamut and spectacular image quality. – AFP/Relaxnews pic, October 14, 2015.Apple has updated its entire iMac family, introducing a new Retina 4K display to the 21.5-inch iMac for the first time and the Retina 5K display to every 27-inch iMac.

The tech giant has also unveiled a new range of wireless accessories including the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2. The devices, which feature rechargeable batteries, have been redesigned for increased comfort. The Magic Trackpad 2 enables users to experience Apple's Force Touch interface on the desktop.

The Retina displays promise to make photos and videos more immersive and true-to-life thanks to a wider colour gamut and spectacular image quality. Additionally, the updated iMacs also feature more powerful processors and graphics, two Thunderbolt 2 ports and new storage options.

The new 21-inch iMac starts at US$1,099 (RM4,654) and the new 27-inch iMac starts at US$1,799. – AFP/Relaxnews, October 14, 2015.
