Facebook adds ‘Live Photos’ feature to platform
Facebook has launched Live Photos on its platform, allowing users to upload and view Live Photos from within their iOS app.
The news comes just three months after Apple debuted the photo function with the iPhone 6s and, just days after Tumblr also added Live Photos to its features.
However, only iPhone 6s and 6s Plus can capture Live Photos right now – brands and pages haven’t been granted the same access just yet – with the rollout across Facebook to be staggered.
Any users running iOS 9 or later on their iPhone or iPad will be able to view Live Photos by pressing and holding the image, with further features to slowly become available throughout 2016. – AFP Relaxnews, December 23, 2015.
