Samsung goes into whole-home audio with wireless soundbar

Samsung is adding a new wireless soundbar system for whole-home audio to its list of offers, according to Tech Crunch.

The South Korean company will incorporate Dolby's HW-K950 speakers, allowing a connection to Samsung's Wireless Audio 360 system in order for users to control the system from a tablet or PC.

The Dolby Atmos-enabled soundbar strives to improve audio with its five speakers -- three forward-facing and two tilted upward.

Thus far, only a few providers have attempted to enter the whole-home audio market, with US electronics company Sonos being the primary provider. The soundbar system is most commonly found in cinemas. – AFP/Relaxnews, January 4, 2016.
