Set for a November 9 reveal, and expected to be priced at between US$1,400 (RM6,148) and US$1,800 (RM7,905), the watch will be by far the most expensive timepiece to date to be powered by Google's Android Wear operating system.

It will also be the first smartwach to pack an Intel processor, meaning that it should offer functions and features over and above what's already out there.

But Tag Heuer's boss, Jean-Claude Biver, has made it clear that the device has not been built to compete with the likes of the Moto 360 or even the Apple Watch, but with the rest of the traditional Swiss watch industry.

The Carrera Wearable 01 will make its debut at a special event in New York at 11am on November 9. – AFP/Relaxnews, September 30, 2015.
