The Triber app has found the solution to this kind of situation: geolocation.

In this period of summer festivals, picnics and tanning sessions on the beach, the Triber app is ever more useful. It works like a kind of compass.

Offered as a free download for iPhone and soon for Android, the app tells you exactly how many metres away from the person you are searching for you are at the moment. In order for it to work, both parties must have the app on their phones.

Triber also protects the privacy of its users by allowing them to switch to an invisible mode when they don't want to be found.

Perhaps even more useful, Triber's geolocation allows users to select a specific meeting point to share with an entire group of friends that you can select together via the app.

Then, all you have to do is follow the compass to reach the agreed upon meeting point, especially useful if you just decided to join your friends or are running late.

You can download the app from the iTunes Store at itunes.apple.com. – AFP Relaxnews, August 14, 2015.
