Periscope announced the news on its blog, saying: "Whenever a broadcast is shared on Twitter, you tap the link to open the Periscope app. Today, we're replacing those links with the broadcast itself, autoplaying right within the Tweet."

A Periscope account will not be necessary to view the broadcasts, which will go full-screen and also display viewers' comments.

The feature will be rolled out for iOS users over the next few days with plans to add Android in the near future. – AFP/Relaxnews, January 13, 2016.
