5 things to do in Clark, Philippines
A former American air base, Clark was the place for all things American. The city was affected by the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption but has since cleaned up and is now vacation central with everything you could think of from entertainment to shopping and everything in between.
Check out five things you can do in Clark:
Climb Mount Pinatubo
See Mount Pinatubo up close and personal by taking a trek up the active volcano.
About an hour and a half's drive from Clark, the volcano's last major eruption was in 1991.
The trek takes up to two hours where you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful caldera and crater lake formed after the eruption.
Shop till you drop
What is a holiday without some shopping? In Clark, shopaholics can head to malls such as SM City and Shoe Mart with trendy goods at low prices. Just remember to leave some space in your luggage for your haul.
Chill by the beach
For some fun in the sun, head over to the Zambales province with its many beautiful beaches. Try Subic Bay, which used to house a US naval base until 1992.
Hang with dolphins at the Ocean Adventure theme park or go for a dive to get a first-hand experience of its marine life.
Go golfing

Dance the night away at Angeles City
It is not quite Los Angeles but Angeles City used to be a favourite haunt for soldiers at the Clark Air Base.
It was affected by the Mount Pinatubo eruption but following a clean-up of the city, it is now a tourist and entertainment hub with a thriving nightlife scene with many bars, pubs and clubs. – December 13, 2015.
