Google bringing free WiFi to Indian train stations

However, according to Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, the initiative will eventually cover 400 train stations, making it the largest public WiFi project in India.

The initiative is also a huge effort to help "the next billion" get online. India is already home to 300 million internet users, making it, according to Google, second only to China, in size, and the WiFi connection in most cases will be a faster connection to the web than most current users have ever experienced. – AFP/Relaxnews, September 29, 2015.
