Malindo Air gets nod to fly to Perth

Malindo Air, Malaysia's hybrid airline, has received an approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Perth.

With this approval, Australia will be the eighth country in the airline's growing international route network, Malindo said in a statement today.

The 11-times-weekly service will commence on November 11, 2015.

Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy was confident that the new service would help boost travel and trade between Australia and Malaysia.

"Perth will expand our coverage and strengthen our customer proposition in the strategically important markets of Asia," he said.

Promotional fares for the new route start from RM599 for Economy Class and RM1,499 for Business Class one-way, all inclusive of perks such as free baggage allowance, in-flight entertainment, meal and light refreshments.

Ticket sales will begin upon receiving approval from the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia. – Bernama, 1 Oktober, 2015.
