J.K. Rowling has confirmed on her Twitter account that she is working on a trilogy of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" films. The three films are a spin-off of her "Harry Potter" series.
The "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" trilogy is set in New York City and takes place 70 years before Harry Potter. It tells the story of Newt Scamander, who is the author of the book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". That tome will later become one of Harry Potter's schoolbooks at Hogwarts.
NME reports that Warner Bros plans to release the films in the trilogy in 2016, 2018 and 2020. The first one hits North American cinemas this year on November 18. – AFP/Relaxnews, March 1, 2016.
