Facebook has announced it is to adding music to its Facebook Messenger features, starting with song sharing using Spotify reports TechCrunch.
When Facebook Messenger users head to the "More" section in their Messenger chats, they will now find an option to open Spotify.
Users simply need to click on this Spotify option to be taken to the music app, and from here they can search for a song, artist, or playlist to share via Facebook Messenger.
Once they have made their choice users will be directed back to Messenger where they can share the photo of the cover artwork in their conversation. When a friend taps that photo, they'll be taken to Spotify to listen.
Spotify already has its own sharing option for sending songs, playlists and artists to other Spotify users, however this new Facebook Messenger feature will enable you to share quickly and easily when chatting with friends about music.
However so far the feature is only available for iOS and Android users. – AFP/Relaxnews, March 5, 2016.
