Flight MH370's mysterious disappearance is Malaysia's biggest disaster now. And coming a close second is how the authorities are handling the search and rescue operations. Crews are now searching the Andaman Sea, more than 100 hours after the plane vanished. Why didn't the Royal Malaysian Air Force contact the plane or scramble jets when it detected the plane on an unscheduled flight across the Malay peninsula? Why is the information so late that the past few days have been a wild goose chase across the South China Sea? Until they are found, Malaysia has lost 239 people in a plane. But it should not lose its credibility.
