So not only is it visually intriguing when coaxed out of the tap, it also tastes uncannily like non-alcoholic beer.
Be prepared to chug your frosty one down before the Malaysian weather turns it lukewarm! You could sneak in a few cheat ice cubes, but that would ruin the “Guinness” effect. Shame on you.
Pulp by Papa Palheta
Pulp is the Malaysian offspring of Singapore-based Papa Palheta. Born out of a historical part of Art Printing Works, this modern cafe is not afraid to allude to its history. No WiFi here, but Instagrammers stay keen regardless.
Pulp names their offering the Nitro Black Matter (RM16). It’s not very fizzy, but the 10-hour brewed coffee is infused with 100% pressurised nitrogen, extremely concentrated and creamy.
The menu says it is be creamy and velvety, with a cascading texture and a sweet, long malty finish. The brew is a mixture of a Brazilian ponto alegre and an India Thippanahalli Estate.

The proprietors have borrowed inspiration, ingredients and flavours from other food providers in order to serve guests better – for example, empanadas from CRZYPUFF, and sandwich bread from TedBoy Bakery.

Bean Reserve
Bean Reserve is located in Bangsar Utama, close to DR.Inc. This pristine, white-washed cafe mainly serves the entrepreneurs and freelancers who inhabit The Co, a beautifully designed co-working space. However that does not stop the general public from flocking to this unnaturally photogenic cafe.

If it’s your cup of tea, grab one by the world famous French tea experts, Betjeman & Barton. Or try out their fizzy nitro coffee or tea (RM13 each).

Either way, we recommend downing this small glass quickly to get the most out of the refreshing, bubbly concoction. Sneak out around Bangsar for some desserts while you’re at it!
Underground Societe

This one had the best head on it. – HungryGoWhere pic, November 3, 2015.It is surprisingly casual, a contrast to the fancy-looking dishes that pepper the Instagram feeds of cafe-hoppers. Expect to see a firing up of their signature blue-flamed dessert, the Underground Fireball (RM16.95)
We see mostly college students, courtesy of the nearby Monash University. Don’t be fooled by the different name – it’s called coffee on tap (RM16.95) here. It is served ice-cold – you might even want to spike your drink with a shot of liquor for a more sinful experience.
